Telecommunication operator "Beeline" announced the commissioning of networks built on the base technologies of high-speed wireless access to fixed WiMAN in Irkutsk and Angarsk, as well as the completion of the network of the standard in Bratsk, Chita, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Nakhodka and Ussuriysk.
Technology WiMAN (Wireless Metropolitan Area Network), is used of "VimpelCom", also known as fixed WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access). This decision, according to the operator, significantly enhances its ability to connect to a variety of corporate fixed-line services using high-speed wireless "last miles".
During 2013 it is planned to provide access for clients on technology WiMAN in Blagoveshchensk, Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Magadan, Ulan-Ude, and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Thus, the coverage area of the network will cover 65% of users in the largest cities of the Far East region.
WiMAN Far East network consists of base stations and subscriber stations (over 130), providing wireless access to services of fixed telephony.
Each base station provides high speed data transfer at up to 10 kilometers. This allows for the widest possible coverage client offices are located in remote areas, including those outside the city limits.
WiMAN network provides wireless access at speeds up to 300 Mbit / c, which allows anywhere in the coverage area to provide customers "Beeline" Business whole range of fixed-line services, as well as with a standard wired connection. Among the possibilities - a high-speed Internet access, LANs based IP VPN, voice, video conferencing, etc.
In 2012, the network WiMAN started and in southern Russia - Novorossiysk, Anapa and Gelendzhik. In the March 2013 launch of the network is planned in Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Stavropol, and the Republic of Adygea. Through the first half of 2013 WiMAN wireless technologies will be available to corporate customers "Beeline" Business Krasnodar and Astrakhan. In 2013, the network will be deployed in Volgograd. In the first half of 2013 high-speed wireless network will be put into commercial operation in seven cities of the Volga region and the eight cities of the Ural region.
